To assist people in achieving comfort, joy, and well-being: by releasing pain, trauma, and limiting habits and defenses; by learning new, more effective coping skills; and, ultimately, by having direct experience of their True Self as the Source of All.
What to expect at a session with Robert
Whether you are requesting Ortho-Bionomy® or Concious Connected Breathing (CCB); at your initial appointment, Robert will complete an intake form, gathering information on your current state of health, your medical history, and your reason(s) for seeking an appointment with him.
The session will take place in a peaceful and comfortable environment. Roberts considers the environment to be very important in creating the setting which allows your entire attention to fully focus on what is happening in your body. This will help you to have an experience as positive as possible.
Candles and music help to provide that tranquil tone. Please let Robert know if anything is not to your liking.
At the end of your session you may be encouraged to drink a glass of water.
Robert also offers chair massages in public setting such as places of business or heatlh fairs, where table massages are not feasible. Please contact Robert for this special service.
What happens in an Ortho-Bionomy session?
Typically, Ortho-Bionomy® sessions last approximately an hour. Wearing comfortable, loose fitting clothing is suggested to allow a full range of motion. Robert works with you to identify areas of discomfort, tension, and pain, as well as areas of comfort and ease of movement. The use of gentle movements, comfortable positioning, and traction or compression is incorporated. No forceful movements are used. Every Ortho-Bionomy® session is different as it is specifically designed around your individual needs at that moment. Your verbal and body's feedback will guide Robert to find the movements and positions that facilitate release of stress and tension. Home self care is often suggested to further aid in relieving pain and restoring balance and function throughout the body.
What happens in a Conscious Connected Breathing session?
Again, the session lasts about one hour, and usually is conducted with you lying on the massage table fully clothed.
With Robert's guidance, you set a goal for what you want to accomplish, then you begin taking deep, full breaths and releasing them fully.
As you relax and your energy flows smoothly thru your body, thoughts and feelings will come to your attention which you may choose to share with Robert. He will assist you to process them while helping you to remain focused on your breathing.
The breathing process naturally intensifies, then dismishes, leaving you feeling revitalized, more conscious, and thinking and feelling more clearly and deeply.
At the end of your session, Robert will review it with you, clarify any issues, and discuss any questions you may have to assist you in completing your experience.
